Mrs. E’s Story
Mrs. E is one of the sewing machine recipients. She and her husband are very poor. They work hard as coolies (day laborers) and are paid a minimum wage – often being cheated out of the full wage. Mrs. E has been able to pay off her debts and start saving money. She and her husband now eat every day, have clean clothes to wear and are able to help others in their community.
